VIDEO: Charlotte Pursuit Suspect Jumps On Moving Train To Escape

Charlotte, NC – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were involved in a high-speed pursuit Wednesday afternoon which resulted in the suspect jumping on a moving train to escape. The pursuit was captured on a news helicopter’s camera (video below.)

The pursuit occurred on northbound I-85 in west Charlotte, according to WFTV.

Police pursued a black Honda at high speeds across multiple lanes of traffic.

The vehicle then exited to Freedom drive, sped through a parking lot, and then stopped near some train tracks.

The driver exited his vehicle, ran after the train, and jumped onto the moving train to make his escape.

After riding the train for a while, the suspect jumped off and ran into the woods.

The reason for the pursuit has not been announced at this time, and the suspect is still at large.
