Espanola, NM – Dashcam and bodycam video has been released showing the moment that officers saved a woman who had been kidnapped and chained up in a van.

The rescue happened on January 30th, less than 24 hours after witnesses saw the victim being dragged out of her Las Vegas apartment, according to KRQE.

The victim’s ex-boyfriend, Jack Morgan, and his new transgender lover, Samuel Brown, had spent more than a year planning the kidnapping, according to authorities.

The pair had planned to take the victim to a cave and brainwash her into marrying Morgan. The crazy plan was stopped, and the woman was saved, when officers located the suspects’ van driving down the road.

The video shows the officers taking the suspects into custody, and they approach the van as the victim was screaming for help.

“She’s chained down by the neck,” an officer said in the video.

“He dragged me out of the place, and I fought so fucking hard cause I was like, this is how you die,” the victim told officers.

After being taken into custody, Brown remained mostly silent. However, Morgan started singing.

“You got a favorite hymn?” Morgan asked an officer.

“No, I don’t,” the officer replied.

Morgan then sang Amazing Grace and before being pulled out of the car he asked for his Bible and his Baptist hymnal.

“Note to self,” he said. “Wear shoes next time.”

Both Jack Morgan and Samuel Brown as now in federal custody on kidnapping charges.
