Three Officer Shot In Louisiana, Suspect, Brandon Carpenter, Not In Custody
Moreauville, Louisiana – A Louisiana State Police Trooper and a local police officer were shot by a shotgun wielded by Brandon Carpenter Thursday night.
UPDATE: A third officer has now reportedly been shot. No details on that officer’s condition.
The incident started after a car chase with Brandon Carpenter, who then barricaded himself in a home. The trooper and officer approached the residence to try to reason with Carpenter, who responded by blasting the two heroes with his shotgun, according to WBRZ.
Both officers are expected to survive. Carpenter is still not in custody, presumably still barricaded in the house.
Louisiana State Police SWAT is en route to the area.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured officers, and every officer working to take this dirtbag into custody.
UPDATE: He’s now in custody.
