Stanford University Accepts Teen Who Wrote #BlackLivesMatter 100 Times On Application

Teen Writes #BlackLivesMatter On His Application 100 Times To Be Accepted To Stanford

Princeton, NJ –  Ardent Black Lives Matter supporter, Ziad Ahmed, was recently accepted to Stanford University.  The highlight of his application?  His answer to the question, “What matters to you, and why?”

Ahmed’s answer?  He wrote #BlackLivesMatter 100 times.

In his acceptance letter, Stanford University wrote:  “Everyone who received your application was inspired by your passion, determination, accomplishments, and heart,”  according to The Blaze.  The acceptance letter also said “You are, quite simply, a fantastic match with Stanford. You will bring something original and extraordinary to our campus – a place where you can learn, grow, and thrive.”

Ahmed said that he was stunned by the acceptance and that he didn’t think he would get admitted to Stanford at all. He said that “it’s quite refreshing to see that they view my unapologetic activism as an asset rather than a liability,”

In a social media post, he posted:

“I submitted this answer in my @Stanford application, & yesterday, I was admitted…#BlackLivesMatter”.”

In 2016, Ahmed interned for Hillary Clinton’s campaign.  He is also a blogger for Huffington Post, and said in an interview with them that to him, “To be Muslim is to be a BLM ally, and I honestly can’t imagine it being any other way for me.”

He also said that, “It’s critical to realize that one-fourth to one-third of the Muslim community in America are black… and to separate justice for Muslims from justices for the black community is to erase the realities of the plurality of our community.”

Ahmed has also been accepted to Princeton and Yale.

I’d wonder what would happen to an applicant who pulled the same stunt with #BlueLivesMatter, but I think we already know the answer to that.
