Wounded Officer Josh Vadell Taken Off Ventilator as Brother Officers Pack Perps Court Appearance

Members of the Atlantic City, NJ Police Department showed up in full force yesterday at the court appearance for Martel Chisholm and Demetrius Cross in Atlantic County Superior Court.  The two are charged with various crimes related to their shooting of AC Police Officer Josh Vadell on Saturday night.  Additional revelations from this incident show improvement in hero Officer Vadell’s condition.

As many of our readers may already know, Officer Vadell was shot in the head early Saturday morning by Chisholm and Cross as he and his partner interrupted an armed robbery in a casino parking garage.  After a full scale manhunt, the two criminals were captured, but only after inflicting a heinous act of violence on the warrior officer.

Officer Vadell was listed in critical condition at a nearby hospital where he remains for now.  However, recent reports from media outlets in the area bring some good news.  Josh’s wife has relayed the following message for his supporters:

“Update on Josh… he is doing amazing!!! They took him off the ventilator this morning, he is responding with small words, able to sit supported in a chair and now having some movement on his Left side. He is improving every day and I believe it is from all of the love and support you all bring to our family. Sorry I can not respond to you all individually, but I see you all care and I am telling Josh how much he is loved.”

Clearly this family has been through a lot and has a long road ahead.  We also support this warrior, Officer Josh Vadell, and wish him a speedy recovery.

Josh’s brothers of the Atlantic City PD showed their support for him.  Yesterday, nearly 40 of them packed the courtroom in a sign of solidarity and left no empty space filled.  Their showing displays the unity of the brotherhood and also serves as a message that these criminals will be captured and dragged before a judge to answer for their crimes. Despite what one judge thought, officers don’t show up to intimidate the judge.

We too have a message for the judicial system now processing this case:  These two degenerate scum tried to gun down an officer, but this warrior survived and, God willing, will make their sentencing.  They were captured and brought in unharmed for their “due process”, we pray for Vadell’s justice due.
