Austin, Texas – A mass stabbing a University of Texas Austin has resulted in at least one person killed on Monday at around 1:46 PM.

Law enforcement responded to a report of a mass stabbing on the UT Austin campus at 2101 Speedway near Gregory Gym, according to KXAN.

At least one stabbing victim was killed and at least three other people are seriously wounded. Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody.

The university police department have said that there is no further threat in the area at this time.

The suspect and victims have not been identified at this time and the motive for the attack is not known. The three surviving victims have been transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge.

Austin PD is leading the incident response.
