Iana Kasian Autopsy Report Shows She Was Scalped
West Hollywood, CA – The autopsy report from the gruesome murder of a Hollywood model was released on Wednesday, September 20.
The report shows the extent of Iana Kasian’s injuries, and the details of her murder are eerily similar to a book that her graphic artist boyfriend Blake Leibel wrote, ‘Syndrome.’
The incident occurred in May, 2016, and Kasian’s body was found inside her condominium. Her then two-month-old baby was found unharmed lying beside her. Leibel, age 35, is the baby’s father.
Kasian, age 30, was found lying in her bed with obvious blunt force trauma to the head. Police said that she was tortured and mutilated before she was killed, and that all of the blood had been drained from her body.
The report provided graphic details of Kasian’s injuries, including the wounds to her scalp, part of which had been cut at the back of her head, and part of which had been ripped away. Her scalp has never been found, according to ABC13.
Portions of the right side of Kasian’s face had been torn off, including her right ear. Wounds on her jaw appeared to be from human bite marks.
Leibel has pleaded not guilty, and is pending charges of one count of murder, mayhem, aggravated mayhem and torture, along with special circumstance allegations of the murder involving torture and mayhem, which makes him eligible for the death penalty.
His book, ‘Syndrome’, begins with flashbacks of a serial killer slashing throats and draining blood, according to The New York Post.
According to police reports, Leibel was out on bond on suspicion of felony rape that occurred about a week before Kasian’s murder. The rape victim’s name has not been released.
Leibel is the author of a series of comic books, which he presented at Comic Con in New York in 2008, and is very wealthy, having inherited millions of dollars from his mother.
Kasian’s mother Olga now has custody of the child, and has filed a $56 million wrongful death lawsuit against Leibel.
