Gunfight During Warrant Service Results in Deputy Shot in Face

An unidentified York County, PA deputy was shot in the face during a warrant service on Thursday morning. The heroic deputy is expected to survive his injuries and is said to be in good spirits.The condition of the suspect has not been announced, but he was transported to the hospital.

UPDATE 06/09/2016: The deputy was identified as Deputy Michael Lutz, a five-year veteran of the sheriff’s office. It was confirmed that Deputy Lutz did kill the suspect who tried to murder him.
