Details Released On The Officer Shot In Gladstone
Gladstone, Missouri – A Gladstone Police Department officer was shot Sunday night after a gunfight which stemmed from a traffic stop.
Gladstone officers stopped two suspects in a vehicle on Vivion Road and 169 Highway around 10:30 PM. Sometime during the stop, a teenage passenger fled on foot and officers pursued. The officers were able to catch the suspect, and then the suspect pulled out a gun and shot one of the Gladstone police officers. Officers returned fire and killed the suspect.
The injured Gladstone officer has been hospitalized and is expected to survive.
This attack involves just one of four officers shot on Sunday. The other three officers were ambushed while sitting in their patrol cars. San Antonio Detective Benjamin Marconi was murdered, and the other two officers are alive.
Thankfully Gladstone officer shot tonight is expected to live. Not many more details but this is the best news we could have asked for.
