Boothbay man Linc Sample has Black Lives Matter threatening to stay away from Maine.
Maine Man, Linc Sample, Being Labeled Racist for Pro-Gun Rights Lawn Sign
Boothbay, Maine – Linc Sample of Boothbay is causing quite a stir in his sleepy destination type town and the folks supporting Black Lives Matter are quickly slapping him with the label “racist.” Now people online are refusing to travel to this state because this man lives in it.
In July, Linc Sample posted a large handprinted sign on his property which depicted a rifle and a pro-second amendment message, “Yes we have them. No, you can’t take them”. Sample initially painted and displayed the sign in response to a local newspaper ad calling for a ban on assault type firearms. But a recent addition to the sign of the words, “Black Rifles Matter” is gaining national attention on social media to the small town and many are calling Sample a racist.
Sample, an avid sportsman and gun owner, told media outlets that he has no plan on taking the sign down even as supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement label him a racist because the sign is meant to undermine their message. The Black Lives Matter supporters said they plan to boycott vacationing in Maine. One Black Lives Matter panderer took to social media, “Black Rifles Matter. Y’all really think our systematic oppression is a joke, don’t y’all?” Another fired off, “Someone hung a Black Rifles Matter sign in Maine, which makes me never want to visit…”
Once again, we see the supporters of the Black Lives Matter are missing the point. Again, we see them jump to label someone as a racist in an attempt to silence anyone who doesn’t agree with them. But their movement, which is devoid of facts, and fuels violence and rioting, is protected by the same free speech that Linc Sample is exercising. While Black Lives Matter proponents have stated that we can’t call out Colin Kaepernick for his disrespectful use of his right to free speech, they are attacking this man’s free speech on his own property.
Linc Sample responded to their criticism bluntly, “There have been some people that have asked me to take the sign down and I don’t respond to that very well. It’s my property, it’s my sign. There’s been some talk that I have hurt tourism. I don’t believe that for a minute,” Sample stated to the media.
While the sensitive felons rioting on behalf of the Black Lives Matter movement may be refusing to vacation in Maine, I’m sure Sample is just as happy to not have them in his back yard. I haven’t seen any Bass Pro Shops looted in the city riots, so I don’t believe Maine has to worry seeing a dip in tourism this season.
