Armed Protesters Welcome Rapist Brock Turner Home

Sugarcreek Township, OH – Brock Turner only spent 3 months in jail for sexual assault. His neighbors are not happy about that.

Stanford University student Brock Turner made the news 6 months ago in Palo Alto, CA after being caught sexually assaulting a woman. Two students were out riding their bicycles when they spotted Turner on top of an unconscious woman. The two men chased Turner down and held him until police arrived on scene. Turner was arrested and charged with raping a young lady who was blackout drunk.

The young lady stated that she drank a few shots of whiskey and switched to vodka before going to a fraternity party; the next thing she remembered was waking up in a hospital with a deputy telling her she may have been a rape victim. Brock Turner admitted to fondling the woman, but denied raping her.

Dan Turner, Brock’s father, wrote a letter to the presiding judge over the case that sparked outrage across the country. The letter sent to Judge Aaron Persky stated

His life will never be the one that he dreamed about and worked so hard to achieve. That is a steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action out of his 20 plus years of life.

Apparently to Dan Turner, it’s perfectly acceptable to get a young lady hammered drunk and rape her behind a dumpster. After all, according to him it was only “20 minutes of action”. CBS News reported what the young lady had to say after the attack:

She described how the attack left her “closed off, angry, self-deprecating, tired, irritable, empty.”

“I pretended the whole thing wasn’t real,” she said, and adding in a direct address to Turner, “You bought me a ticket to a planet that I lived in by myself.”

A Northern California Jury found Turner guilty of 3 counts of sexual assault and sentenced him to just 6 months in jail. He was released after 3 months for good behavior.

Many people from Brock Turner’s hometown Sugarcreek Township, Ohio aren’t happy with the ridiculous sentence. Several armed protesters have showed up outside the Turner home to voice their opinions.

Some protesters hold signs that say “If I rape Brock will I only do 3 months?”. Others have used sidewalk chalk to write out “rapist” with arrows pointing at the Turner home. One protester can be seen holding a sign that says “If it wasn’t rape, then why’d you run? #noexcuse”. She makes a good point.

Ohio is an open carry state, so some protesters decided to go ahead and bring their guns along for the protest. One of them told local news agency WCPO “He’s not going to live some happy, pleasant life. We’re going to never let him forget what he did”.
