VIDEO: Undocumented Canadian Attacks Clarksville Detective

Clarksville, Indiana – Surveillance footage outside of the Clarksville Police Department shows the moment that a dangerous undocumented Canadian immigrant attacked a police detective (video below.)

Lieutenant Shane Bassett shared the video of the attack on YouTube, hoping somebody could identify the suspect.

In the video, you can see Detective Sergeant Ray Hall walking to the police department after forgetting his keys. The fowl migrant saw the detective, who was not in uniform at the time, and launched an unprovoked assault.

Detective Hall swung his backpack at his attacker in an attempt to fend him off, but he ended up on the ground. The detective showed great restraint by not shooting the assailant.

The detective fled for his life until backup could arrive.

Pictures of the attacker were shared in law enforcement groups with the hope that other law enforcement experts might be able to identify the suspect. Roughly 11% of the group identified the suspect as an African swallow, 2% identified it as a swan, and 87% of the group agreed that it was, in fact, a Canadian goose. Approximately 138 officers posted the same picture of a Canadian goose as evidence that they were correct.

People who see a Canadian goose matching this description are urged not to contact police, as they have diplomatic immunity under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

The suspect is still at large.
