VIDEO: TV News Reporter Colleen Campbell Goes On Drunken Rampage Before Getting Arrested
PHL 17 News Reported Colleen Campbell Should Be Banned From Drinking
Philadelphia, PA – PHL 17 TV news reporter Colleen Campbell is out of a job after a video was released showing her drunken rampage at Helium Comedy Club on Monday (video below.)
The incident happened on Monday at Helium Comedy Club where Craig Robinson (Darryl from The Office) had a show.
Wil Sylvince posted the following description of the incident to Facebook along with the video:
About last night: this very obnoxious lady, who wasn’t drunk (nor high I think) was disturbing the show with her “loud whispering”. After 3 warnings and other customers were complaining she was asked to leave.
When she got kicked out she assaulted (kicking, punching, and eye poking) 3 of the employees in bar area right outside the showroom and then outside she mock spit in the mangers face when a cop came. She verbally abused this poor cop who was trying to keep the peace at first.
The show was great though! Love me some Philly! Thank you
In the video, Colleen Campbell went on a profanity-laced tirade while a police officer just tried to get her to leave. Refusing to leave, Campbell bragged about working for PHL 17 before assaulting the manager.
Victor Fiorillo with Philly Mag summed up a key point of the video: ‘If you’re a member of the media and you’re in the middle of doing something really stupid while someone is filming, don’t say, “I work at a fucking news station, motherfucker.”’
Campbell was finally arrested and charged with resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
After she was released, Colleen Campbell took to Facebook to say, “Yes it is me I had one drink… and since have been fired from my job. I have never acted like this and asked to go to the hospital last night to find out of anything was slipped into my drink”
She then deleted all of her social media accounts.
Later, in an interview with Fiorillo, Campbell’s “one drink” magically turned into “at least five drinks.”
For her part, she did say that she wanted to apologize to the officer.
Working in law enforcement and dealing with drunk people constantly, I can tell you that some people should just never drink… ever. Campbell is one of those people.
You can see the video below. If you can make it through the whole thing without eating your gun or wanting to punch Campbell, you may have what it takes to be a police officer. WARNING- Extremely vulgar language:
