Evergreen State College Professor: PD ‘Barricaded’ In Their Station As Students Threaten Violence, Because Racism
Racist Evergreen State College Students Don’t Realize They’re Idiots
Olympia, WA – After a group of students took over Evergreen State College campus and threatened violence, the college president says he’s “grateful” for the “passion and courage” demonstrated by the mob, according to The Washington Times.
The blow up all started over this year’s “Day of Absence.” In the past, the event was a day when all people of color would choose to leave the campus for the day in order to show their contributions to the campus, according to Heat Street.
Bret Weinstein, a progressive biology professor at Evergreen State College, wrote an e-mail which pointed out what should be obvious:
“There is a huge difference between a group or coalition deciding to voluntarily absent themselves from a shared space in order to highlight their vital and under appreciated roles … and a group or coalition encouraging another group to go away,” Weinstein wrote.
“I would encourage others to put phenotype aside and reject this new formulation, whether they have ‘registered’ for it already or not. On a college campus, one’s right to speak—or to be—must never be based on skin color.”
The e-mail prompted an angry mob to form and confront Weinstein about his “racism.”
The professor spoke with Tucker Carlson about the incident and said that the Evergreen State College Police Department tried to check on his safety while he was being confronted by the angry mob.
The students pushed the police officers back and blocked them from entering. Rather than respond by arresting any students, the officers ran around and found a door which wasn’t being blocked in order to ensure that the professor wasn’t being attacked.
Bret Weinstein said that the police barricaded in their department as the unruly group ran campus and threatened violence if their demands weren’t met.

The Washington Times published a partial transcript from a video showing the enraged mob (video below.)
“Why is it all these black women and femmes doing all this emotional labor in this space?” one student shouts. “These white-a— faculty members need to be holding him and him and all these people accountable!”
Another student says: “I said, I’m tired of white people talking about what black and brown people need. You don’t know.”
Mr. Bridges tries to answer, “I’m just trying to respond—”
“Stop giggling and laughing every time we say something!” another student yells at the school president.
He tries to respond, “I am not giggling—I’m not laughing at you.”
“That’s how whiteness works!” another Evergreen student yells at Mr. Bridges, who is white. “Whiteness is the most violent f–ing system to ever breathe!”
The video (below,) which highlights that the students are the biggest group of bigoted crybabies you’ve ever seen, was made of clips that students publicly posted online, prompting them to state that the video was “stolen by white supremacists and edited to expose and ridicule the students and staff.” One of the demands by the students was that the video be “taken down by this administration by this Friday.”
In a speech delivered May 26, the college president gave his speech in response:
“I’m George Bridges, I use he/him pronouns,” he started.
“Let me reiterate my gratitude for the passion and courage you have shown me and others,” Bridges said. “I want every one of you to feel safe on this campus and be able to learn in a supportive environment free from discrimination or intimidation.”
George Bridges went on to concede to all of the students’ demands except for firing Bret Weinstein. Instead, the Evergreen State College president suggested that he would be “investigated.”
Included in the demands that he agreed to were extra training for the campus police officers in “anti-black racism, de-escalation, minimizing use of force, serving trans and queer students, sexual assault response and responding to the access of special needs students with disabilities.”
He also agreed to “annual mandatory training for all faculty beginning in the fall of 2017” to cover “subjects including but not limited to institutional racism, and the needs of students of color, LGBTQIA students, undocumented students, victims of sexual assault, and students with disabilities.”
In addition, per the demands, he promised to used taxpayer funds to build a new “equity center,” as well as paying students to create their own student code which is a “living document that will adapt over time in order to serve evolving student needs.” The campus already has four equity centers.
Students will also be paid taxpayer money to work on designing the new equity center and have final say on its design.
He also assured the group that there would be no consequences for any of their illegal behavior. “As of today, we’re not contemplating any action associated with the demonstrations of the last two weeks, but we can’t control what complaints we might receive,” he said. “If we receive complaints, we’ll need to follow up on them.”
As for that stolen video? He vowed to do some serious computer forensics to find out who “stole” the video.
