CNN Airs Edited Video Of Charlotte Shooting To Make It Look Unjustified

After the videos of the Charlotte shooting were made public, it showed that the shooting of Keith Scott was clearly justified. CNN must have decided that didn’t fit their narrative, so they edited the video and made the shooting look much worse.

In the actual shooting video, officers gave Keith Scott every chance to drop his gun and surrender. Throughout the video leading up to the shooting, the police officers loudly ordered Scott over 10 times to drop his gun. Scott refused those orders and he instead advanced on officers. The video left many speculating that Scott was intending to commit suicide by cop.

In the Keith Scott shooting video aired by CNN, they edited out the parts where the officers were ordering Scott to drop his gun.

In the video aired by CNN, they showed Scott’s wife, Rakeyia Scott, telling the police that he had no weapon. The edited video then cut to the officers shooting Keith Scott. The intent appears clear. CNN wanted their viewers to think that Scott was unarmed, so they scrubbed out any indication that he may have had a gun. In doing so, CNN inflamed the hatred for police officers and directly contributed to the violence and destruction in the Charlotte riots.

You can see the unedited video here:

We now know for a fact that Keith Scott was armed with a stolen pistol, and his ankle-holster is clearly visible in the body-camera footage released by police.

CNN edited out the part of the video referencing Keith Scott's gun.

This isn’t the first time that CNN was caught editing video to change the message in support of Black Lives Matter. After the Sylville Smith shooting, which kicked off the Milwaukee riots, CNN took a clip of Sherelle Smith — sister of the deceased criminal — and gave their viewers the impression she was calling for peace, not violence.

“Don’t bring the violence here and the ignorance here,” Smith is heard saying during CNN’s version.

In the unedition version, Smith was recorded saying the following to the rioters:

“Burnin down shit ain’t going to help nothin! Y’all burnin’ down shit we need in our community. Take that shit to the suburbs. Burn that shit down! We need our shit! We need our weaves. I don’t wear it. But we need it.”

  • The Clinton News Network will also tell us the gun wasn’t stolen and that Scott was in lawful possession of it while being a convicted felon.

  • John J Rouse

It’s pretty sad when MSNBC passes you up in ratings.

  • Ken Janulewicz

Used to watch CNN regularly. Can’t stand that network or any of the talking heads on it, the pseudo news reporters. But, there’s not anywhere else to go for “news.” It’s all a big opinionated, agenda-driven talk show now. I’ve been watching Netflix more than ever.

Each owner, corporate executive and the reporter involved need to be arrested and charged for inciting to riot. They need to also be criminally charged for each act of injury, death and property damage incident, and be held financially responsible, as well.

Editing in the middle should be illegal but it isn’t and won’t be so there should be a law that if u edit a tape u have to show the full video on line. At least that would be a start

    • John

There should be a law that all body camera footage for every officer present or otherwise involved when a member of the public is injured or dies (whether self-inflicted or killed by law enforcement) is made immediately (no more than 4 hours) available in its entirety to the public. Then we can talk about what private entities do.

Do you know why most videos aren’t released? Well let me educate you a little…
It taints the jury. In most cases, against the suspect. Therefore DA’s do not want it released so defense attorneys cant bitch about it.
Most cops want it released because it shows the truth.
If you notice more and more departments are starting to say screw the DA let’s show it.

What the actual fuck?!?! How is that legal?

    • Mannie

Very little regulation of The Press is permissible. The Enemy Press makes good use of the First Amendment while they try to extinguish The Constitution.

  • I AM DEPLORABLE ✓ᵀᴿᵁᴹᴾ

It is one thing to be in the tank for a POTUS candidate, but to edit a video to change the narrative is just criminal. Everybody knows how tense the situation is in Charlotte. Editing this video can very well lead to more unrest. Completely irresponsible reporting. Pretty sad when MSNBC in the more honest network.

there was a lot of deceptive editing in the Trayvon Martin affair as well, but I don’t think cnn was the main culprit.

The Mainstream Media is nothing but the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party, just like Pravda and Izvestia. The Völkischer Beobachter was more balanced. Goebbels would be so proud. His Big Lie continues to work.

  • Gabby_Hayes

Michael Smerconish use to be on radio in Philly and was a big supporter of Daniel Faulkner’s widow, Maureen and called for the death sentence to be carried out on Mumiah Abu-Jamal. In fact, he was jury foreman on the trial that convicted Jamal. And then he does this! I was never a Smerconish fan during his days in Philly, he was spineless on just about every issue. But to do this and work at this sham of a news organization just proves he follows the money.

CNN…………….nuff said……… are better off reading the clippings at the bottom of a birdcage versus watching CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, or ABC. They ALL are in it together.

  • John Miller

You ruined the informative video by putting the obtrusive web address right in the middle of the screen and blocking the thing we all want to see. Big mistake. Reupload and think of the viewers next time.
