Las Vegas, NV – Twitter is exploding with reports of multiple shooters gunning down people at Mandalay Bay Casino on the Las Vegas strip. At the time of this writing this event is still in progress and details are preliminary.

A Broadcastify alert states that there is an officer shot along with many people down and suggests the shooter is shooting from a window above people’s heads.

Scanner traffic reports are that there are two shooters with automatic weapons. This information is based on a chaotic scene with a flood of reports and it’s unknown at this time if it’s accurate.

News3 reporter Nathan O’Neal reports seeing multiple people loaded into ambulances.

UPDATE: Reports of officers down are coming from people on scene, but our contacts in the area have no knowledge of any officers down.

UPDATE: Report of one officer shot in the neck, with no official status released. Two people confirmed dead, 12 critical, 24 wounded.

UPDATE: Per Metro: Two on-duty LVMPD officers were injured during the shooting. One is in stable condition after surgery and the other sustained minor injuries. At this time there is in excess of 50 deceased and over 200 injured individuals.
