Armed With AR-15s, Milwaukee Black Panthers March While Threatening Whites and Police

Milwaukee, WI –  Milwaukee Black Panthers marched through a Sherman Park neighborhood on Sunday afternoon.  Some were openly carrying AR-15 rifles.

According to news sources, the afternoon march was known as a “human rights tribunal” and was held in the name of Sylville Smith, Jay Anderson, and others who have recently been killed by police officers. The Black Panthers marched to protest what they called the “genocide” of blacks by law enforcement. Dr. Alli Muhammad with the Revolutionary Black Panther Party said that it was genocide, that it can’t continue, and that it wouldn’t be allowed in other countries.

On Friday, the Black Panthers called for the resignation of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Police Chief Ed Flynn. Neither have resigned and there are no indications that they will do so. Former Milwaukee PD Officer Dominique Heaggan-Brown, who is black, was charged last Thursday, December, 15, 2016, with First Degree Reckless Homicide in the death of Sylville Smith.

The second incident that the Black Panthers referred to involved the shooting of Jay Anderson by Wauwatosa Police Officer Joseph Mensah in June, 2016.  Earlier this month, the Milwaukee County District Attorney said that the investigation results had been reviewed and that Officer Mensah would not be charged.

Police sources said that Sunday’s march was monitored by Milwaukee PD Officers. A MPD spokesman said “Open carrying a firearm is not arrestable absent any other violations of the law.”  Some protesters yelled “Free us or you die, cracker” and directed vulgar chants and other incendiary statements including “fuck the pigs”, “pigs out of our community,” and “fuck the police” at police officers.

According to a news source, “And what’s actually dangerous is the weaponizing of lies, a phenomenon that has led to “revenge” killings of police across the nation. The lies are epitomized by the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, which began with the fake-news-enabled “Hands up, don’t shoot!” deception. Originating with the 2014 self-defense shooting of criminal Michael Brown by Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson, the phrase became a rallying cry for the movement, which is thoroughly based on deception.”

While peaceful protest is acceptable in this country, it would be wise to address the actual issue. If the Milwaukee Black Panthers were actually concerned with black lives, then they would focus on the huge amount of non-law enforcement officer involved black homicide victims, who are killed by other blacks.  Instead, the protesters direct their focus at police officers, whose shootings are mostly ruled justifiable, and account for about four percent of black homicides.

Marching through the streets of Milwaukee with weapons such as AR-15s, threatening the lives of “crackers”, and threatening “pigs” is not acceptable and constitutes a serious threat of violence. The outcome can’t be good or positive when combined with statements such as the above, which are designed to elicit response.  It is disrespectful but typical of the way these activists work.

We send our thoughts and prayers to Officers with the Milwaukee Police Department who have to deal with these fine citizens. We respect you, support you, and understand what you are going through. We got your six.

What do you think about the Milwaukee Black Panthers who walked through the streets carrying rifles and chanting these things?
